“Succession” Dominates 2023 Emmy Nominations, Roys Rejoice!
The nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were unveiled, and the power-hungry Roys of HBO’s “Succession” are leading the pack with an impressive 27 nods. The critically acclaimed family drama, which concluded its fourth season in May, secured nominations in key categories, including Best Drama Series. Following closely behind is HBO’s “The Last of Us” with 24 nominations, while “The White Lotus” (23) and Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso” (21) dominated the comedy genre.
Although the ceremony is scheduled to air on September 18th on Fox, ongoing labor disputes such as the writers strike and a potential actors’ strike may cause delays. While the host for the event remains unannounced, fans eagerly await the celebration of television excellence. Eligible shows for this year’s Emmys spanned from June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023.
